Au Frames Inc. specializes in handcrafted museum-quality picture frames. We concentrate on traditional gilding methods and strive for excellence in craftsmanship, design, and finishing. All frames are gilt with karat gold and finished by hand, giving a personal touch to each frame.
Stephen Barnhill has been learning the gilding art since 1998. Partnering up with his brother, they ventured out and created Au Frames. The company has grown and become a premier high-end frame company. Stephen is now sole-owner and operator making frames that are in museums, galleries, and private collections throughout the U.S.
Au is the symbol for gold on the periodical chart of elements. The circle and square logo is an ancient symbol representing perfect continual motion and perfect solidity.
